Our names are Priya Tanna and Emily Booker, we are two final year Psychology undergraduates who are completing our Final Year Dissertation Project. We would like to invite you to take part in a research project. Before you decide you need to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve for you. Please take the time to read the following information carefully.

What is the purpose of the study?
The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of thinking about work related issues and events outside of work can have on various cognitive measures and well being.Further information about the purpose of this study will be provided on the debrief form after completing the survey. 

Why have I been invited to take part in the study?
The group we are exploring are people are currently in full time or part time employment therefore we are looking for participants who fall into this category. 

Do I have to take part?
No, you do not have to participate; there will be no adverse consequence if you do not participate.

 What will I have to do?
You will simply have to answer a set of questions as accurately as possible as part of our survey analysis. The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. We ask that questions are answered promptly and are not pondered over for long periods.

 What are the possible disadvantages or risks of taking part?
It is unlikely you will experience any particular disadvantages or risks as a result of taking part in this study. However you may choose to withdraw from the study at any time.

Will my taking part in the study be kept confidential?
Yes, all data that you submit will be kept anonymous.

Data will be stored securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

The study has been reviewed and received a Favourable Ethical Opinion (FEO) from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences Ethics Committee, at the University of Surrey.
